Story
Our younger son Matthew died last September aged 24. He had Duchenne muscular dystrophy which progressively robbed him of his mobility and independence. Despite his severe physical limitations he was bright, articulate and fascinated by the world around him. He bore his increasing disability with great fortitude and in his short life was an inspiration to all who new him.
I am taking on the London to Brighton Bike Ride in his memory and fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy UK in the hope that effective treatments may be found for young men like Matthew who live with this awful condition.
