My Doddie’5 Triple Crown Ride 2026
In March 2026, I will be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life: the Doddie’5 Triple Crown Cycle Ride. I am joining the amazing Doddie’s Grand Slam Team (DGS), a group founded in 2022 by Ian Barr, former SRU President, and Rob Boyns, Doddie Aid Team Wales Cycle Captain. We are also supported by ex-Scotland international and British Lion Roger Baird as our ambassador.
DGS is more than a cycling team. It is a family built around a simple but powerful 4 E ethos: Endurance, Engagement, Education and Enjoyment. This ethos has taken the team across the UK and Ireland, France, Monaco, Italy and Australia, and into countless rugby clubs and schools, inspiring thousands of people along the way.
Together, the team has already raised over £500,000 to support research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND). This cruel and devastating illness took the late, great Doddie Weir from us in 2023. His courage, humour and determination continue to inspire everything we do.
In 2026, our team of 16 riders and 10 support crew will take on a huge route around Britain and Ireland, all with one purpose:
Help fund the research that will one day end MND.
With breakthroughs in science, AI and quantum computing advancing rapidly, every pound raised brings us closer to cracking the code of this disease.
If you can support me, the team, and the researchers fighting MND, I would be truly grateful. Your donation, no matter the size, genuinely makes a difference.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and belief in the cause.
Together, we ride for Doddie. 💙🏉🚴♂️
