Story
I'm running the 2024 TCS London Marathon with #TeamRetinaUK. Your donations will mean Retina UK can do more of what they do best - supporting people affected by inherited sight loss and funding pioneering research.
Since having surgery for detached retinas in 2009 (thank you Bristol Eye Hospital), I appreciate my eyesight more than ever. Raising funds for Retina UK is an honour and a pleasure, although I fear the training might not be much of a pleasure ... Thank you for your support!
Update on 9 March: I regret that as I have been ill since early January I have been unable to do any training since then. Although I'm much better now I am still not running and with only 6 weeks to go, there is not enough time for me to train properly for the 2024 Marathon. So I have deferred my entry until next year (27 April 2025). Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far. Your donations have been very much appreciated. I look forward to being fully fit so that I can complete my challenge next year.
