I am raising funds for Birdhurst Family because this charity provides supported accommodation for vulnerable young mothers and their babies and they need help in moving onto the next stage of independent living. The charity wants to extend the accommodation by building a new meeting room where residents can get help as they develop their self confidence and learn essential parenting sills. It is hoped that the meeting room will be available to families in the community who are in need of a safe space where they can find help with finding accommodation or caring for their child.

The new meeting room will be part of a pavilion style building within the existing site.

I will be doing the Croydon Landmarks walk. This is a distance of just over 5 miles. I will start at St.Mary's Church Addington and then go to Addington Palace, Lloyd Park, Birdhurst Family, The Croydon Almshouses, the Allders' facade, The Old Palace of John Whitgift, The Minster, Whitgift School and the Old Croydon Airport.
