I am riding around Normandy, cycling 300km (186 miles) over 3 days. I have had type 1 diabetes for well over 50 years, and feel that JDRF would be a perfect cause for me to ride on behalf of.

JDRF, the forefront global charity for type 1 diabetes, works to help people live better with the condition, prevent people ever developing it and one day, find cures. They do this by funding research, campaigning for access to all treatments and connecting and supporting the type 1 community.

I will be riding with an insulin pump (a Dana RS) supplied by Advanced Therapeutics, and a Dexcom ONE sensor. Both of these have been obtained on the NHS, and will be of huge use during the ride.
