Story
Every year there’s a moment when my job and my hobby (some might say obsession!) collide… and this year is no different.
I’ve been lucky enough to secure a place in the London Marathon again, and I’ll be running to raise money for The Barons Court Project.
The Barons Court Project is the only day centre in Hammersmith & Fulham supporting people who are experiencing homelessness or living with mental health issues. Our drop-in centre provides a safe, supportive space and life-changing services to those who need them most, helping everyone move towards the life they deserve.
In my role at the charity, I help provide breakfast and a hearty lunch for everyone who walks through our doors each day. It’s a small thing that can make a huge difference — a warm meal, a hot drink, and a welcoming place to sit.
Through this marathon, I’m hoping to raise enough sponsorship to fund our tea and coffee provision for three months — making sure that anyone who comes in can always have a hot drink and a moment of comfort.
If you’re able to support, any donation – big or small – will make a real difference. Thank you so much for helping me turn every mile of this run into practical support for the people who need it most.
