Wing Walk · 17 July 2025

We exist to help save endangered species, in particular black and white rhinos, orphaned by the poaching epidemic which is threatening their extinction in South Africa. Part of this aim is achieved by working to develop the communities local to the sanctuary in Mpumalanga province, South Africa.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 17 July 2025, I am undertaking something exceptional for an exceptional cause. I will be securely (I hope) attached to the top of a plane which will take to the skies over the Cotswolds! Aside from being an exciting experience, the main reason for doing this is to raise as much money as I can to support the amazing conservation work carried out by Care For Wild.

Every penny that I raise will do directly to the charity as the cost of the experience has already been covered.

Situated within the Barberton Nature Reserve complex (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Care For Wild provides critical care to orphaned rhinos affected by poaching and other threats. It carries out rescue operations and provides intensive rehabilitation at the sanctuary, leading to rewilding programs to restore rhino populations and promote biodiversity.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps towards its goal of ensuring that rhinos can thrive in their natural environments. By sponsoring my wing walk, you are becoming an integral part of a movement dedicated to preserving one of the world's most iconic and endangered species.

Donating though JustGiving is totally secure. Your personal details are protected and will never be sold and you will not receive unwanted emails. Your donation will be sent directly to Care For Wild.
