Story
Rowing skills vary. Thomas has been rowing since he was 14, whereas his parents (Simon and Alison) only first got into a fine boat in May 2025. Nevertheless we are rowing over 80 miles down the River Thames for Shooting Star Childrens in September. Anna (who goes to different school) will provide some very vocal cheering from the locks along the way. We are in different boats and the times will be vastly different but for each one of us it will take determination, sore legs and a lot of snacks to get us there.
Shooting Star is a hospice local to us that cares for children, with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Their care makes a real difference to those people at a time when things are unimaginably hard. Any donations are gratefully appreciated, no matter their size. They all help to expand the reach and the impact of this amazing charity.
