Story

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this

I'm Simon Toyne, one of the Cluster Team Managers employed by LCH working for Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS), which is a diverse and impressive partnership between NHS Talking Therapies, which includes a fabulous range of partners from the Charity and 3rd Sector and Primary Care Mental Health. We deliver high quality support and specialist interventions for adults to promote, strengthen and improve mental wellbeing and mental health outcomes. This includes a range of digital, face to face, individual, group and online stepped care approaches based on and including CBT, Interpersonal Therapy, Counselling and EMDR. It is one of the largest services in the Specialist Business Unit and responds to the mental health needs of thousands of patients each year.

This summer I'll be taking part in the Leeds 10K Run for All, raising money for the fantastic Leeds Community Healthcare Charity, some of which I hope may benefit people accessing my own organisation (LMWS).

Leeds Community Healthcare Charity aims to help enhance and improve the care that Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust provides to our communities. The charity has funded amazing projects such as, Care Packs for the Homeless, and A new minibus for Hannah House. These projects have made the difference to many vulnerable patients including children, the elderly and the homeless in completing their treatments and living a healthier life. You can find more information about the valuable work LCH Charity does here: https://www.leedscommunityhealthcare.nhs.uk/about/charity/

I'm looking forward to this challenge and really appreciate your support. Every donation, goes a long way.

Thank you
