Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Why am I supporting Brain Tumour Research.

During the years our children were growing up my wife and I were aware of a number of children affected by brain Tumours. Then some years later our son in law had to deal with two tumours in close succession, he beat them both.

More recently a very dear friend developed a brain tumour that sadly resulted in her death. I don’t think over my 66 year of life I can think of another disease that has affected us more.

One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
