Story
I am sure almost everyone has suffered a loss or required support for a loved one suffering with cancer. Earlier this year my father in law Robert Newcombe was diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately after a short battle passed away. He was very much loved by his family and friends of which i am grateful to count myself as both.
In the last weeks of his life St Davids Hospice provided him care and support, not only that, as a family we do not know how we would have coped without them. For this i am very grateful. They allowed Rob to remain at home in comfort as he wanted but equally they would have done so at their hospice in Malpas as they do for many others.
I have also visited their hospice and see the excellent level of care and support they offer patients and their families.
I have wanted to do something to raise money for them and have been prompted to do so following the recent reports that they are struggling financially at the moment.
Myself and a good friend Matt (who also has people close to him that have fought cancer) are planning to climb Mount Snowdon on the 7th of November with limited to no training prior to this. Please if you can, could you donate whatever you can for this great cause.x
