UPDATE OCTOBER 2026: I’ve made it to China! Central Asia was really challenging - long, hot desert stretches followed by the big Pamir mountains with rough roads and high elevation (highest point: 4365masl). Now heading south through China towards Laos. China is so vast it can feel lonely out here, but seeing the donations coming in really helps me along the way. Remember, every £100 donated permanently protects an acre of threatened land in important ecosystems.

At age 45 I've quit my office job of 20 years. I want to see the world and do something to help restore and protect our beautiful planet.

Starting in April 2026, I'll be cycling approximately 35,000km around the world, climbing a mountain on each continent and visiting World Land Trust ("WLT") conservation projects en route.

WLT support their local partners to acquire, permanently protect and actively conserve threatened land to safeguard biodiversity and the climate.

To date, WLT has funded the protection of over 2.9 million acres of threatened ecosytems, the planting of more than 3.1 million trees and the protection of over 13,066 species.

Every £100 donated funds the acquisition, protection and conservation of (on average) 1 acre of threatened land.

Here’s some ideas about how you can donate:

-- Set up a regular monthly donation - seeing donations come in each month whilst I’m out on the road (probably for nearly 2 years) will really help keep me going;

- A one off donation of £100 will protect 1 acre of threatened land;

- Donate per km. Eg. the total adventure will be about 35,000 so 1 penny per km is £350.

- Or just donate whatever you can. Any amount makes a difference.
