Story
Hiyaaa!
Next Sunday, I'm running the Warrington Half Marathon for Prostate Cancer UK π
I am scared and excited in equal measures - my lifestyle and my fitness level is very different to this time last year and training has felt significantly more difficult. However! It's all for an excellent and very personal cause and that's what matters.
An amazing private yoga client of mine was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021 and he kicked ππ½ it's ππ½ ass!
He continued with his practice through his diagnosis and treatment and we still get on that mat every week as he finds his new normal, living with cancer. He is an incredibly inspiring human being and, after seeing his, and his family's, life get turned upside down by his diagnosis, I want to give something back to him and them.
Prostate Cancer UK not only supports people who are diagnosed with cancer, it also offers support for the friends and family's around them. And the support doesn't stop when the treatment does. Prostate Cancer UK understand that the mental effects of diagnosis and treatment can be long lasting and accessing support at any time should be simple and stress free.
The cost of living is absolutely wild at the moment, but if you have anything at all to give, it will mean so much to people who are diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones. Every penny makes a difference.
Aiming to beat my time from last year and come in sub 2 hours π€π½
Doing it for you and yours Big T! π
