Among them, nearly 5,000 are rough sleeping, a figure that is likely a huge underestimate. Tragically, in 2018 alone, 726 people lost their lives while homeless in England and Wales—a staggering 22% increase from the previous year. Most of these individuals would have been living on the streets or in emergency accommodation.

These numbers represent not just statistics; they represent lives filled with struggle and hardship. Each person has a story that deserves to be heard and acknowledged.
