About Air Ambulance NI Charity!
Air Ambulance NI, is a charity in Northern Ireland that work in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) to provide the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the region.
Serious or life-threatening situations can happen to anyone at any time and on average every single day in Northern Ireland two individuals find themselves in critical need of AANI. Since the service first launched in July 2017, the HEMS has been tasked on over 3,351 occasions
The HEMS team attend to patients who are seriously ill or injured, bringing emergency pre-hospital care direct to the casualty with the aim of saving lives, brains and limbs. The service brings urgent medical assistance to anywhere in the province, operating seven days a week for 12 hours per day. It can get to anywhere in Northern Ireland in approximately twenty-five minutes.
What is not widely known is that AANI is a charity and they rely solely on donations and fundraising. Each day it costs £6,850 and £2.5m is needed each year to keep the Air Ambulance NI service operational.
What are we going to do?
The Simplicity Group Team are planning to jointly walk/run the entire distance around Ireland throughout the month of July. This is a total of 3,171km (102km per day).
Our goal is to raise at least £5,500 for Air Ambulance NI and ensure they can continue to provide their vital services to those in need. Every donation, big or small, will make a significant impact and help save lives.

Why has Simplicity Group chosen the Air Ambulance NI?
Simplicity Group chose the Air Ambulance NI as our charity of choice because of the incredible impact they had on two of our team members, Catherine & Courtney, and their families. The air ambulance played a crucial role in saving the life of their youngest, baby Noah, and this experience has made the charity incredibly special to us.
Noah was born with a condition called Long Segment Hirschprungs. When he was 10 weeks old during a visit to his grandparents in Omagh his broviac line was damaged during a routine dressing change.
Noah might not have got the help he needed in time if it wasn't for the Air Ambulance NI Charity.
