Story
On 11 October I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, 13.1 miles through Hyde Park, Green Park and St James's, for Hope and Homes for Children.
Most of what I've been able to do, Imperial, building startups, etc., comes down to having a family behind me. Not money or connections, just people who made sure I was safe and believed I could go further than I thought I could. Without that, my ceiling would have been a lot lower, and I didn't do anything to earn it. I was just born into it.
Around 5.4 million children are growing up in orphanages, and more than 80% of them aren't orphans. They have families. Hope and Homes closes orphanages and gets those children back home, where they get the same start I had.
Entry was waived for me as a student, so every pound here goes straight to the charity. Whatever you can give, thank you. I'll post the finish time here afterwards so you can judge whether it was worth it.
