Skipping rope · 1 April 2026

At Blanche Nevile School for Deaf Children, a bilingual school of BSL and English, we are facing challenging budget constraints. Our school minibus, after 18 years of service, has reached the end of its life - so we are reaching out for your help!

Story

Blanche Nevile School for Deaf Children is a bilingual school that recognises the importance of both BSL and English. However, like many schools, we are currently facing challenging budget constraints. Our school minibus, which has provided 18 years of invaluable service, has now reached the end of its life — and we urgently need your support to replace it.

For many of our pupils, everyday experiences that others may take for granted are not always accessible. The school minibus plays a vital role in ensuring our children can attend educational trips and activities. Public transport can present significant communication barriers for deaf individuals, making the minibus the only safe and reliable option. Additionally, many of our pupils travel long distances and rely on Local Authority transport to get home, so having our own minibus ensures trips can happen without the risk of delays or disruption.

To support this cause, I am taking on a personal challenge for one month:

Skipping rope 100 times every day

I’m pushing myself to stay consistent, so I really need your support. Please consider donating to help us reach our goal of funding a new school minibus.

If you’d like to join me, I’d love that too! Take part by skipping rope 100 times every day and share your video to spread awareness and encourage others.

Any support—whether a donation or simply sharing this message—will make a real difference to our children’s opportunities and experiences.

Thank you so much for your support! 🙏
