Every two years, SING aLOUD members champion and vote for a charity to support, for which we fundraise and enhance awareness.

Since launching in 2016, SING aLOUD members have raised over £75,000 for charity and our current chosen charity is Carers Link!

Carers Link was established in 2004 to support unpaid carers who live in East Dunbartonshire, or care for someone in the area.The person they care for might be living with a disability, an illness, a mental health problem or have issues around substance misuse or addiction. Each carer’s situation is unique and Carers Link talks things through and listens to ensure that support is tailored to what is needed.

Carers Link offers one-to-one support, sessions and groups for carers.

SING aLOUD was founded in 2016 by musician and community singing leader, Bryan Marshall.

The first session took place in Bishopbriggs on Thursday 11th February 2016. 14 brave people, who had never met before, came along and sang their hearts out together. That number has now grown to over 300 singers across 5 locations in North Glasgow.

SING aLOUD always allows members to feel a sense of belonging, pride, achievement and fun through singing together.
