Single Speed Madness Supporting Corbenic Camphill Community

Gavin Kirk is raising money for Corbenic Camphill Community
Corbenic Camphill Community meets the residential and day support needs of adults with complex and severe social, emotional and intellectual disabilities in an integrated community near Dunkeld. Our Core Campaign supports all aspects of our work.

Story

My aim is to cycle just over a 100km from my home in Edinburgh to Corbenic, west of Dunkeld on my old single speed bike, we are both feeling our age!

I am an architect and have had the privilege to work with Corbenic since 2018. It is a beautiful, special place and it has been an incredible experience to get to know the community.

This year we completed the construction of the Corbenic Community Barn which will support the growth of the Camphill Community, and extend the current Day Service. It will enhance the lives of residents and day participants, provide facilities for the estates team, and allow the wider community to gather, celebrate and socialise.

Now I am hoping to give a bit back, by doing this little bit of madness and aiming to cycle for around 6hrs, over a bridge and up lots of hills to raise awareness of the amazing work being done by the people at Corbenic, and hopefully some money too.

All donations are very very welcome, thank you.
