Story
Hi! I’m Siobhan, I’m 25 and live in Brighton. I will be spending the next few months training for and running the Brighton Marathon on 6th April 2025. I am hoping to raise as much money as I can along the way for The Kirkwood.
This is in memory of my partners mother, Philomena Woodward, who unfortunately lost her courageous battle with cancer in 2011. Philomena spent the last stage of her life being supported by the incredible staff at The Kirkwood, who not only made this as comfortable as possible for her but also supported the other half of my lovely family with dignity and respect.
I know times are tough and we’re in the middle of the cost of living crisis but even a £2 donation adds up. If you’re unable to donate due to current financial situations then please share the link to this page as far and wide as you can 🫶🏼
***** please note - if you are a taxpayer please tick the gift aid box and The Kirkwood can claim 25% extra from the government at no extra cost to yourself! *****
Thankyou to anyone who reads this, shares this, donates or supports me…. LETS GEDDDDIT 💪🏻🩵
Your £10 donation could fund a virtual wellbeing session for a patient living with heart failure.
A donation of £50 could pay for specialist counselling support for a patient and their family.
£100 could provide vital support to a patient in their own home from one of The Kirkwood Nurses.
The Kirkwood are here to support anyone affected by a life limiting illness, every step of the way. Right now, over 3,000 people in Kirklees are living with an illness from which they will not recover. Your support means we’re here for them.
