Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The challenge is for both my parents who have passed away, they were both incredibly, brave, determined people they were driven by being independent, limitless, never complaining about being in pain, they were told they shouldn't have children, shouldn't work can't do what others could, they rewrote this and proved the world wrong, they never allowed Polio to define them, mum swam for the first paralimics in butterfly stroke, she cut hedges, painted, wallpapered, became a nurse later a teacher, dad fixed his own cars made our bikes repaired everything anything he worked for Rutherford as a scientist in the engineering section they both drove when they were told you can't dad loved driving, both contracting polio from childhood in the 30's they both battled through their own challenges and showed the world nothing can stop you, it has given me strength, drive, determination, inspiration no matter what you face in life its possible, limitless you can do anything with the right mental attitude they always put others before themselves & never saw they had a disability incrediable people.

The Polio Fellowship is how they met the charity has been a go to for them both meeting others sharing, fun, laughter, stories, days out without this charity it would have been a very different story.
