Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On May 5th, Sonja & I will be running the Belfast Marathon for the Wave Trauma Centre, an amazing charity who provide care and support for people affected by the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

Wave provided critical support for my family, particularly my Granny and my Mum, when my Uncle Brian was abducted and murdered in 1978, and for the 21 years that he was one of the ‘Disappeared’. My Granny campaigned with Wave to locate Brian’s body which they finally recovered in 1999.

My family is one of so many who have had, and continue to get, support from Wave.

Granny, this one’s for you 🤍 🏃🏼‍♀️ (and also my last marathon, promise 🙏🏼)

Thank you for your donations, together we are supporting the WAVE team to extend trauma services. 🩵
