Sister Act: Mud Edition 🏃🏾‍♀️💛

On 9th May, my sister and I are taking on the Tough Mudder 5K — mud, obstacles, and all — in support of Cambridge Global Health Partnerships.

This challenge is especially meaningful because my sister, the other half of Sister Act, is currently completing a fellowship with Cambridge Global Health Partnerships. Through their work, they help strengthen healthcare systems, support healthcare professionals, and improve patient care globally through collaboration, education, and sustainable partnerships.

Seeing the impact of initiatives like these has shown us how vital investment in healthcare is — not just in responding to challenges today, but in building stronger systems for the future.

For us, this challenge represents something even bigger: the importance of advancing healthcare in all its forms, whether through strengthening global health systems or supporting life-changing medical research.

Though our individual experiences have connected us to different areas of healthcare, they’re united by one shared purpose: creating a healthier future through compassion, research, and action.

We’ve called ourselves Sister Act: Mud Edition because we’re taking this on side by side — pushing through every obstacle, every muddy stretch, and every moment we want to give up.

This won’t be easy (if you’ve seen Tough Mudder, you know 😅), but every challenge is worth it for causes we believe in.
