We are planning a charity initiative throughout July to raise funds for our chosen charity this year, Scottish Adoption and Fostering and wish for you to get involved!

Our chosen Charity for 2025 is Scottish Adoption and Fostering. As many of you will know, our President this year, Theresa, was greatly supported by this charity throughout her own adoption journey with Scarlett and Ivy 7 years ago and they have been a continued support to her and the girls as they grow as a family.

We wish to raise some money to support the fantastic work they do and the after adoption support services they offer, and what better way than to get out and enjoy the Scottish weather during the month of July.

Our goal is to symbolically "cover" Scotland’s 5.5 million people, which equates to roughly 2,750 miles (on the basis of 2000 steps per mile), by asking SITE members, their teams, friends and family to each complete 36 miles (walking, running, cycling, even horse riding!) during the month of July. We’ll also be encouraging everyone to share our JustGiving page to help raise awareness and support.

Non SITE Members (colleagues, friends and family) - To register and take part in this fundraising initiative the cost is £10 per person. Please use the following link -

• Our goal is for each member to raise a minimum of £50 per person through donations on the Just Giving page.

• The 36 miles can be done however you wish - 1.2 miles everyday, 5 miles across 7 days or 36 miles in one go (we don’t expect this), it’s really up to you!

We will use Strava (if you don’t have this already please download for free) to track our miles in July. We will also try organising a couple of meet ups to do some miles together in and around Scotland during July.
