Simon's fundraiser for Rosemere Cancer Foundation

S Wright is raising money for Rosemere Cancer Foundation

Let's raise some money and make me look a fool...

Rosemere Cancer Foundation supports world-class care for the 70,000 people in Lancashire and South Cumbria currently living with cancer, by funding cutting-edge equipment, research, training, and patient welfare projects to make their cancer journey more effective, comfortable and stress-free.

Story

Posting this before I get cold feet*.

You may know I recently found out I have cancer. I want to raise some money for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation because they do amazing work looking after people going through cancer treatment (including me), and beyond.

Against all my better judgment, I’m gonna do Movember. For those who know me well, this will be a hilarious statement. My ability to grow facial hair is somewhat pathetic. It’s patchy, thin, weak, bum-fluffy and all other kinds of “just don’t bother, Simon” (see photo).

I'm going to look like an absolute fool (see photo) and possibly like I should be locked up. Surely that's worth you chucking a few quid into the pot. Also, spare a thought for my poor wife who’ll have to look at me every day. My son will probably just laugh at me.

If you can, please consider throwing a few quid into the pot. It all goes directly to the Foundation. I’ve set what I think is an impossible target because I like a challenge.

I'll share photos on here and Instagram as the month progresses so you can have a good ol' giggle at my expense. If Insta is your thing, follow me here: https://www.instagram.com/siwri/

I know that technically I should be doing this via the official Movember channels but, whilst they support great charities, I wanted to try and raise money for the charity close to me (selfish, I know).
