Last year my close friend (and cycling partner) Paul Bleasby sadly collapsed and passed away and a group of friends decided to arrange an event in his memory a year on.

The first Yorkshire Challenge is to take place on Saturday 20th July 2024 with the majority of participants aiming to complete the 60 mile course over the roads and climbs regularly ridden by Paul, including passing (checking out) many of his previously visited cafes/ food places).

I have chosen to raise money for Mind and am reaching out to ask for any donations on what will be a very emotional day.

Since the pandemic and the cost of living crisis, the number of people needing mental health support is the highest since records began. At Mind they support thousands of people every year to improve mental health and wellbeing. This is a charity that I am passionate on continuing to support.

I have completed many cycle events in the past most for personal challenge, but this one is completely different, hence my ‘just giving’ request.
