Canine Genetics Research
Campaign by University of Cambridge (RCN HMRC Registered)
The Canine Genetics Research team in the Department of Veterinary Medicine is passionate about investigating inherited diseases in dogs.

Story

He was young, healthy, happy and deeply loved, from thoroughly health-tested parents, with no known condition that could explain what happened. Then he died suddenly - and there is still no medical explanation for why.

His tissue is now part of this research programme investigating unexplained death in young Labradors. Cambridge is investigating a devastating pattern in which young, apparently healthy Labradors can die without warning. The goal is to understand why this happens and whether these deaths could ultimately be predicted or prevented.

For the birthday he never got to celebrate, I want to help fund the search for answers - for Skye, and for the dogs who come after him.

Please donate if you can, and please share.
