Story
This June, I’m walking as many miles as I can to raise awareness and support for a cause that has suddenly become deeply personal. My dad; Bill Slade, is currently in hospital, seriously unwell, fighting the effects of myasthenia gravis — a rare and unpredictable neuromuscular disease that has turned his life, and ours, upside down.
Watching someone you love battle something so relentless is heartbreaking. My dad is one of the strongest people I know, but this illness has taken so much from him. Even simple movements have become difficult, and every day brings new challenges. But through it all, he continues to fight — and so will I.
I’m walking for him. For the days he can’t. For the strength he shows even when everything feels impossible. And for everyone out there living with myasthenia gravis, who deserve more research, more understanding, and more hope.
Every step I take in June will be for my dad — and every donation will help make a difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support xxx
