The team at Slater and Gordon is fundraising for Mesothelioma UK as part of Muffins for Meso in May.

In the UK, over 2,700 per year are diagnosed with mesothelioma. It is also known as ‘diffuse’ or ‘malignant’ mesothelioma.

Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that affects the mesothelium and mostly found in the chest wall (pleura) and abdomen (peritoneum).

Exposure to asbestos is responsible for up to 9 out of 10 mesothelioma cases.

Sadly, funding for charities like Mesothelioma UK is limited and based on fundraisers like this.
