Slogging It is a Cricket and Mental Health Podcast started in 2021 by three friends, Johnno Gordon, Simon Roberts and Eugene Berger. Focusing on the game we love, we encourage our guests to open up about tough periods in their lives and how they have emerged in a better space. Mental health now gets good awareness, but good isn't enough.

Guests such as Matthew Hoggard (Ex Yorkshire & England), Luke Sutton (Ex Lancashire/Sports Agent), Toby Tarrant (Radio X), Max Rushden (Talk Sport & The Guardian) , Daniel Norcross (BBC TMS), Ed Chamberlain (ITV Racing/Sky Sports) and others have joined us to discuss their most challenging periods in order to share and let everyone know that talking is a positive move and by doing so an exit can always be found to any situation.

Supporting The Lords Taverner's through our walk enables us to raise money for a brilliant charity with their roots firmly in the cricket space.

The Ashes Walk will see us leave Lords Taverner's HQ in Central London on June 12th. From there we will walk to Edgbaston arriving on the morning of the first day's play. We will then walk from each ground to the next, having only the time between tests in order to complete the walks, with no other means of transport available.

All in all the challenge will see us complete 670 miles across 22 days of walking, no mean feat I am sure you'll agree!

With support from some friendly and the occasional famous face along the way, this will challenge our friendships as we go through all emotions across the 22 days. We know it will strengthen the bond between the three of us, and raise valuable funds for two causes we care deeply about.
