Story
Hey folks — have always wanted to do a fundraising drive to help out a city and community that has given me so much over the years but unfortunately never got around to it… until today!
(The best day to plant a tree was ten years ago, the second best day is today — so true!)
I know times are challenging for a lot of people and with the volatility of SNAP benefits, thought it would be best to focus on helping out with the essentials: food.
You don’t have to go far to read about the concern so many Utahns are facing — the demand is spiking at the Utah Food Bank to try as best they can to alleviate the food assistance gap.
It’s been shown that every $1 donated to the local Food Bank generates upwards of $7 of food due to their arrangements with local suppliers. So the $1k goal of this fundraiser is really $7k of impact — a long way to feeding A LOT of Utahn families.
If you’ve followed my account for a while, you know that seldom do I ever ask for anything for all this mildly interesting local content/photos/silly projects — but for this one time, if you’re able, I hope you consider donating to a good cause to help support your fellow Utahns. Thanks!
