For Swallowing Awareness Day on March 15, 2023, the SLT Society at Newcastle University is holding a modified diet day, in collaboration with the Newcastle Nutritank Society, where participants will eat and drink a modified diet following the IDDSI guidelines as these are used by Speech and Language Therapists to make dysphagia recommendations.

Donations to sponsor participants taking part in the challenge will go towards Head and Neck Cancer UK to support their work to relieve sickness and promote and protect the health of people who have Head or Neck Cancer and their families.
