Hi All,

Lorna, Rachel, Jess, Sam, Di & Nic are completing the abseil set up by Rainbows in October to raise money for this amazing local charity. They help babies, children and young people in the area & their support is incredible!

We all have our own reasons for doing this abseil, here are some of our stories:

Sam - After avoiding many of the challenges Smart Payment Technologies / Rainbows has set…I thought I best give one ago, and throwing myself down the side of a cathedral is as good as any!

I AM TERRIFIED - I walk past this Cathedral weekly, and it does not get any less daunting each time I see it!! …It’s HUGE!!!

If anyone can spare a little cash for an amazing local cause Rainbows - it would be much appreciated!

Lorna- This will be my first charity event with Smart Pay Tech & I have genuinely questioned whether the bag of marbles has a hole in it or if they have all just gone now! I am usually the bake sale kind of fund raiser (evidence on my waistline) so going off the side of a Cathedral hoping that the ropes and things will hold me is CRAZY!! But my fear of heights is nothing compared to the fear those children have everyday and if I can raise some money to help Rainbows support them, then over the edge I go!!
