We are both connected with Southwell Minster and its wonderful Music Department:

What we are doing

Four years ago, we did our first fundraiser for Southwell Minster Choir Association, "swimming the channel" over a month. A year later, we returned to "cycle from Southwell to Sées in France".

For the next couple of years, Becky tried to "learn how to run" and Jonny built up some knee muscles, so we've decided to return with another fundraiser, combining our "skill" in swimming and cycling with running, throwing it all together, and taking part in our first triathlon!

On Sunday 18 July, we will be at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire to take part in the Belvoir Castle Multisport event, where we will swim 800m, cycle 40km and run 8km, a daunting task, but preparation is well underway!

Why we are doing it

Southwell Minster Choir is hugely fortunate to have a Choir Association alongside it, which exists to fund everything from choir tours and concerts, to chorister travel bursaries and new music commissions; we simply wouldn't be able to fund many of the activities the Choir does without their support.

We are therefore looking to raise at least £1,500 to support the important work that Southwell Minster Choir Association (SMCA) does.
