That's right, this idiot is taking yet another run at the Hackney Half Marathon!

In 2024, I ran for the Alzheimer's Society, and last year, I ran for the Cleft Lip and Palate Association. This year, I'm raising money for another charity that is deeply important to me, Medical Aid for Palestinians.

Although the world's focus has largely shifted onto yet another illogical war being waged on Iran, the people of Palestine continue to suffer, either on a Gaza Strip almost completely obliterated by the Israeli military, or on the West Bank, where the few civil rights that Palestinians possess are being eroded day by day, whether by an Israeli government that seems to lurch from one authoritarian nonsense to another, or by the illegal settlers they encourage and support as they continue to take over Palestinian lands and homes.

Long before the current conflict, and throughout this most recent War on Gaza, Medical Aid for Palestinians have been unwavering in their determination to provide much needed medical care to all those affected by this seemingly interminable situation. And unless the situation miraculously improves in the immediate future, their work will be essential for years to come (even if, and especially when, Palestine falls out of the headlines).

As such, I would appreciate if you could please donate whatever you can, to help Medical Aid for Palestinians, but also to see if I can survive yet another half marathon!
