For many of us, Christmas is a time filled with laughter, family, and love. But for some of our older neighbours, it can be the loneliest time of the year.

At Shirley Neighbourhood Care (SNC), we support over 220 local older residents who often live alone and may not have family or friends nearby. We want to make sure that no one feels forgotten this Christmas.

Every year, we create and deliver Christmas Gift Bags filled with thoughtful treats and essentials, a small but powerful way to remind our clients that they are remembered, loved, and valued by their community.

This year, we are hoping to raise £1,000 by Friday 5th December to make this possible.

Your donations will go directly towards filling these special gift bags with:

🎁 Festive food and drinks

🎁 Toiletries and small useful gifts

🎁 Christmas puddings and sweet treats

🎁 A personal card written by a local schoolchild

Each bag is delivered by our volunteers, along with a smile and a friendly chat, a simple act of kindness that means the world to someone spending Christmas alone.

Last year, the joy and gratitude we saw were truly heartwarming. One client told us, “It was the only present I received, and it made me feel that someone still cares.”

We would love to do the same again this year but we can’t do it without your help.
