Pre-COVID Era & Event Background

Before the pandemic, the Inverness Business Fives, in partnership with Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), hosted the Sneckie Insomnia Soccer five-a-side festival at Inverness Leisure Centre, Bught Park every January for three years.

Last year’s event raised £16,600 for CHAS. This year marks the fourth time the event will be held at Canal Park, and we aim to surpass £150,000 in total funds raised across all seven events.

Why We Play

This festival is more than just football—it’s about bringing people of all ages together to enjoy the game while supporting CHAS in delivering vital services throughout the Highlands and Islands.

CHAS provides respite and end-of-life care for children with life-shortening conditions, offering specialist nursing support through the CHAS at Home team based in Inverness.

June 2025 Event DetailsFormat

Young players will take to the pitch during the day, following last year’s success.

Adult teams will compete in the evening, with mini-tournaments of up to six teams from similar sectors. Matches will continue until around midnight.

Fundraising Goal

Each team is encouraged to raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship—but why stop there? Let’s push beyond that goal! Upon registration, you’ll receive sponsorship forms to help you reach (or exceed!) your target.
