Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. I will be participating in the Swim 10k Challenge from November 1, 2025, to support Cancer Research UK.

Many a mathematician has come up with a new mathematical insight whilst on a beach! You need to read my "Little History of Mathematics" for full details on that.

A historian of maths can equally find an inspiration whilst swimming, which I know to be true (definitely) as I did this a couple of times before.

But more importantly, I am raising the money for Cancer Research whilst swimming this month. Please consider donating, as every donation, no matter how small, contributes to groundbreaking research that can save lives.

I swim about 1km every time I visit my local swimming pool. That means in November 2025 I will need to visit it at least 10 times.
