Elizabeth Cheminais is raising money for Liverpool CHICS

Yr Wyddfa challenge 2026 · 12 September 2026 ·

Liverpool Chics helps to support the whole family of a child diagnosed with cancer, from diagnosis for as long as we are needed. Our Family Support worker is based at Alder Hey. We offer various events, theatre trips, parties etc to ensure all our families experience as much fun time as possible.

Story

12th September 2026

As a team of 4 (Elliot, Saul, Daniel and Chris) we will be competing against hundreds of other teams in a unique triathlon across Snowdonia consisting of:

-15km hike

-15km cycle

-3km kayak

We are competing to raise money for and spread awareness about the amazing work of Liverpool CHICS.

Liverpool CHICS is a registered charity that helps to support children and the families of children diagnosed with childhood cancer. Their work includes:

-Parent-to-Parent Support: Run entirely by parents who have had a child with cancer, offering emotional support, reassurance and practical advice.

-Family Activities: Hosting accessible day trips, theatre outings, holiday parties, and caravan breaks, to enable families to spend special and safe times together.

-Inpatient Support: Provides the role of a dedicated Family Support worker who is based on the oncology ward at Alder Hey Hospital.

Liverpool CHICS is especially close to our hearts as our friend's little brother survived a childhood brain tumor, and her family have directly experienced the incredible work this charity does.
