Story
I competed in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) when I was a sophomore an high school back in Maryland. The science fair was one of the most formative experiences of my life to date. I was asked to serve on their Board of Trustees this year (such an honor!) so I can personally assure you any donation will be put to amazing use.
Another fun fact- my 9th grade earth and space science teacher Dr. Deano Smith (who told me that the science fair was a thing and encourage me to compete!) will be at the wedding!
Here are even more fun fun facts about the Society for Science and why I am such a fan:
- 50% of ISEF finalists are now girls. I believe the science fair is one of the best ways to increase diversity in STEM!
- Here is an interview I did with Maya that talks about how the science fair ties with the entrepreneurial journey
- The Society for Science is responsible for the middle and high school science and engineering fairs (with 65 countries represented!) but also publishes Science News and promotes science literacy to millions.
