Story
Croydon is a place full of creativity, culture, and ambition. But like many communities, it faces challenges, one of the biggest being the rise in knife crime among young people. Too many lives have been affected by violence, and too many young people feel trapped in a cycle they can’t escape.
The good news? Change is possible.
Lives Not Knives (LNK) is a Croydon based charity working to give young people across London a brighter future. Through mentoring, education, and support, LNK helps young people make positive choices, build confidence, and find new opportunities beyond violence.
SoCro Art is proud to be raising funds once again for the brilliant LNK (Lives Not Knives) through its June art competition & exhibition at the Click Clock Gallery (inside the Clocktower Café). Following the success of our March event, where we raised an incredible £1,500, we are aiming even higher this time around. With your support, we hope to double that total and reach £2,000, helping LNK continue their vital work in schools and communities across London.
10% of all proceeds from art sales after costs will go directly to LNK, helping to fund their vital work in schools and communities.
By visiting the exhibition, purchasing artwork, or making a donation, you will be supporting a future where creativity, ambition, and hope replace fear and violence. Together, we can empower young people to shape their own futures, free from knives, full of possibility.
Let’s use art to inspire change and make a difference in our community. Thank you for your support! Sharmina
