Story
I'm Sofia, and I'm a thirty-something amateur cyclist.
Like many, I was introduced to road cycling during the pandemic several years ago. I always knew that I would eventually tackle something that would push me beyond my limits, and so I recently signed up for Ride Across Britain 2024.
This is a challenge to ride from Land's End to John O'Groats in 9 days, covering about 980 miles/1577km, and I will be fundraising money for the Prince's Trust to support them in making a positive difference for young people across the UK. The Trust helps young people to build skills and confidence and find employment, by offering courses, enterprise initiatives, mentoring opportunities, and much more.
Here are just some examples of how your donations could help:
- £100 could contribute towards the specialist equipment that opens up a lifelong career for 1 young person on the margins of society.
- A donation of £500 could support up to 10 young people to travel to work before their first pay cheque, unlocking and sustaining inspiring careers.
- £1,500 could give a young person from a chaotic background the skills to thrive through a programme that will help them to stabilise their life and get them ready to succeed.
