On 5th September 2025, we’re taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge — a 24-mile trek across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough — to raise vital funds for an incredible local cause: The Lighthouse Project in Middleton.

The Lighthouse Project is a lifeline for our community. Whether it’s offering a warm brew and a chat, hosting craft or computer sessions, or providing debt advice, food bank support, and the Lighthouse Pantry, this grassroots initiative helps families and individuals stretch their weekly budgets and find hope in tough times.

What makes The Lighthouse Project truly special?

It’s not council or government funded. Most of its work is powered by short-term grants and the generosity of fundraisers like you. Every pound raised helps keep the doors open and the lights on — literally and figuratively — for those who need it most.

We’re walking 24 miles with 5,200 feet of ascent in under 12 hours. It’s a challenge, but nothing compared to the daily struggles many face in our community.
