I am raising money for a UK-based charity (registration number: 1132597) working together to improve the education of children in the Northern and Eastern parts of Sri Lanka. We are doing the charity walk to support the maintenance of the Skills Development Centre, which opened in 2015 with more than 500 students enrolled. The purpose of this Centre is to give students and young adults the opportunity to study basic IT, English, music, and dance to boost their careers. Due to unprecedented rises in electricity costs, running the building has become increasingly difficult. Hence, Child First UK would like to invest in solar power projects to help the Centre's aim to become self-sufficient while also aiding the environment.
