Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For my bar mitzvah, I have been twinned with Sami-Salomon Fass. He was born in Krakow in 1930 and was killed in 1942 before he had a chance to have his own bar mitzvah. I am planning a fundraiser in his memory and I would be grateful if you could support me for a really great cause.
Just before WW2, around 10,000 Jewish children were rescued from Nazi occupied Europe on the Kindertransport. Many travelled by train and arrived at Harwich port, travelling on to Liverpool Street Station in the City of London. This English part of the journey is commemorated by memorials on the dockside in Harwich and outside the station in Liverpool Street.
In memory of Sami-Salomon, on May bank holiday I am going to cycle between the two memorials with my dad - a distance of 82 miles. We’re going to set off on Sunday and I hope we will arrive on Monday afternoon!
I am raising money for Sebby’s Corner , a charity providing support for vulnerable children and families across London and the South East. They provide nappies, formula, baby equipment, clothing, school uniforms and birthday gifts to families in need - it’s really important for me to be able to help children less fortunate than me.
Please support me in my ride and donate to a really great cause!
