We are collaborating with Brave Minds who will work with us to train 10 mental health champions, offering on going support, workshops and training
A study by the UK rugby health project at Durham University has shown that rugby players are more likely to have mental health issues in retirement than athletes in non-contact sports, and that those who suffered multiple concussions during their playing career are at even greater risk of depression, anxiety, sleep and anger issues.
It is estimated that one in four people will experience a mental health illness each year in the UK. This is not OK, and people suffering need to know that they’re not alone, and that they can seek help.
