Charity Hike · 24 June 2023

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

This year our Solvay Charity Challenge Hike will be over the weekend of 24th June, as we attempt to hike a very long, 25-mile section of the South West Coast Path, from The Lizard to Marazion. Not only will be this be a real test of endurance, but it also follows a route that involves a total of 4,000 feet of ascent and descent.

This year we are raising money for the amazing Birmingham Children's Hospital, allowing us to benefit our local community once again. We hope you will consider sponsoring us for this wonderful cause !

This is a message from our chosen charity:

''At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.

Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.''
