✨ Don’t look back, you are not going that way! ✨

📆 On 3rd of November I will run the New York Marathon

💫 On Sunday the 13 October 2024 I ran my 3rd Marathon of the year, Chicago Marathon in 03:58:51 hours.

🏅 A PB that I never expected to achieve this year.

🏃🏻‍♀️ New York Marathon will be my 4th and final Marathon in 2024!

❓Will it be my next PB too? Who knows but I’ve got the Green flag from my amazing coach to go for it 🫡

⏱️ I set myself a goal to run Chicago in 04:04:44 hrs and I picked the numbers to reflect my age, the number 44!

💫 I wrote 4:04:44 on my BIB next to RIP Kelvin Kiptum Cheruiyot world record time of 02:00:35, not knowing that I was about to break a sub 4 hours marathon.

🏅On 10 August 2024, I had the opportunity to run the Marathon Pour Tous Paris as an ordinary person and share the Olympic spirit with world champions.

🙌🏼 I ran this once in a lifetime experience to raise awareness about domestic violence against women.

😭 4 weeks after, Rebecca Cheptegei, Ugandan Marathon runner, who competed at Paris Olympic2024 was killed by her former partner, Dickson Ndiema Marangach, over a land dispute in Kenya. Rebecca was only 32 years old and mother of two young children.

💔 A myths about the #violenceagainstwomen is that we assume it’s limited to a certain cultures or countries while it’s worldwide.

🦶I therefore choose to run my final marathon of this year in support of Stepping Stones (Luton)

✨ Why Stepping Stones Charity? ✨

👉🏼 They are dedicated to empowering women who have suffered domestic abuse or are vulnerable due to substance misuse by providing hope and the skills and resources to make positive life choices.

👉🏼 They provide holistic services from free childcare to 1:1 support and counselling to ensure women are fully supported to take control back in their life and put an end to the abuse.

👉🏼 And like many other small charities they are still on the verge of post pandemic financial recovery so every £ will go a long, long, way to help more women
