Story
Cancer affects us all. Half of us will face a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime. In the UK, 890,000 working-age people are living with cancer, and around 700,000 are balancing work while caring for a loved one with the disease.
Breast Cancer Now's Wear It Pink day, held on 18th October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events. On this day, thousands of people across communities, schools, and workplaces will Wear It Pink to support life-changing breast cancer research and care.
Despite the widespread impact of cancer, 50% of those diagnosed are afraid to disclose their condition to their employers. It is heartbreaking that people facing such a tough battle feel unable to seek support at work. At Something Big, we’re committed to raising awareness of the challenges faced by individuals working while living with cancer. Join us in making a difference by helping to fund vital research and support.
