Billions of people globally lack access to basic healthcare. GADP is an international charity dedicated to ensuring that patients have access to safe surgeries. We are made up of anaesthetists in the UK, Zambia & Ethiopia. We develop training, provide support and advocate for safer anaesthesia.

Story

As we celebrate our wedding, we feel incredibly fortunate to have the love, support, and care of our friends and family. We know that not everyone in the world has access to the same opportunities, particularly when it comes to healthcare. That’s why, instead of gifts, we would be honoured if you would consider donating to a cause that is very close to our hearts: the Zambia Anaesthesia Development Program (ZADP).

ZADP supports anaesthesia education and development in Zambia, where access to safe surgery and anaesthesia is still a significant challenge. Globally, there is an unacceptable inequity in access to safe surgical care. While in some parts of the world, we take it for granted that an operation will be performed by highly-trained teams in well-resourced environments, this is far from the reality in many countries.

Anaesthesia development in Zambia has been a cause close to our hearts for many years. It has connected us to an incredible community of friends and colleagues. We’ve been privileged to witness the dedication and resilience of Zambian anaesthetists and trainees and feel passionate about supporting their work.

If you’d like to celebrate our wedding by contributing to this meaningful cause, we would be so grateful. Funds raised will be used to support education opportunities for Zambian anaesthetists. Your support can make a tangible difference in reducing inequity and improving access to safe surgical care.

With love and thanks,

Sonia & Guy
